In order to get Scarabs, follow these steps:

1. Create and merge Vases up till they start producing Peony Seeds
   
2. Merge Peony Seeds till they start producing Water Leaves
   
3. Merge Water Leaves until you get a Ship in a bottle
   
4. Tap on the Ship in a bottle to produce a Sailing Ship
5. Merge Sailing Ships till you get the Cargo Ship
   
6. Tap on the Cargo Ship to get Shipping Containers
   

This way you will be getting Scarab Boxes. Make sure that they have empty space around them so that items can be produced around them before they disappear. Now you can merge the Scarabs to get the final pieces of this Merge Chain.
